January 1, 2026 - House Speaker Harks has opened the 85th session of Congress, calling for Republican unity and laying out the foundation of the new session. In his opening of Congress, he said that work to reestablish traditional family values, focusing on protecting Jesstopia's schools and children, and working to restore the countries recognition of only two genders.
He laid out the legislative agenda of the House and said that "we owe to our children to work hard and get results." He also announced plans to "vote on appropriations and funding bills."
Speaker Harks also announced that Representatives will also have a chance to push direct floor votes with a majority support instead of having to go through the chair or Speaker directly.
November 28, 2025 - House Speaker Gregory Harks says that he will force a vote on a motion to vacate that was levied against him by Nationalist Representative Nathan Dillard.
"I will privilege this vote to the House floor so we can put this Nationalist horse and pony show behind us. As a Representative I have always been a supporter of the minority party being able to question leadership and this is clearly what this is. I will ensure that this vote takes place tomorrow in the House chamber.
I do know that this vote will fail miserably as Republicans in the House scoff at Rep. Dillard's motion. This motion to vacate has only succeeded once and that was former House Speaker Gretchen LeWolf for tax fraud. This speaker isn't going anywhere and I know that the House Republicans will put this vacate motion to bed."
